Grand Prize Draw

All Loppet participants who are residents of Northwestern Ontario are eligible for a draw to win a one-year lease of a Nissan ROGUE courtesy of Half-Way Motors Nissan. You must be 21 years of age (minor participants may transfer the win to a parent living in the same household), with a valid drivers license, insurance and licensing are extra.

50 km Free Technique Event
Fastest male: Fischer RCS Skis from Fresh Air Experience.
Fastest female: Fischer RCS Skis from Fresh Air Experience.
Second place male and female finishers will receive Vauthi Wax Profiles provided by Fresh Air Experience.
Third place male and female finishers will receive free entry into the 2012 event, including accommodations for two nights at the Best Western Nor'Wester Resort Hotel.
Top finishers in this category are determined based on gun start.

50km Classic Technique Event
Fastest male: $500.00 "Icebreaker" clothing prize package from Gear-Up for Outdoors.
Fastest female: $500.00 "Icebreaker" clothing prize package from Gear-Up for Outdoors.
Second male and female finishers will receive a $200.00 "Icebreaker" clothing prize packages provided by Gear-Up for Outdoors.

Third place male and female finishers will receive $100.00 "Icebreaker" clothing prize packages provided by Gear-Up.

20km Event
Awards for the top three male and female finishers.

Woodymakeit Award
As we celebrate our 35th anniversary we will rejuvenate the Woodymakeit award. All skiers to complete the 50km award on wood skis will receive an award courtesy of Rollin' Thunder.

Retro Clothing Award

The skier with the best "Retro" ski outfit will be awarded a $100.00 gift certificate to Wilderness Supply.

Age Awards
Presented at the pancake breakfast and awards ceremony at Kamview Nordic Centre on Sunday March 4. Winners receive recognition for their participation in the event.

Youngest Skier in the 8 km distance
Oldest Skier in the 8 km distance
Youngest Skier in the 20 km distance
Oldest Skier in the 20 km distance

The fastest male and female based on age categories in the 20 km and 50 km distances will have their name recognized on a banner to be displayed at Kamview Nordic Centre and be eligible for draw prizes at the Pancake Breakfast.

Alf Petrone Award
Presented to the fastest skier in the 50 km distance over the age of 70.

Richard Irrgang Award
Presented to the fastest skier in the 50 km distance between the ages of 60 and 70.

Fresh Air Experience School Award
Presented to the elementary, secondary, or post-secondary school with the highest number of kilometers skied by participating students and teachers. All distances can be included.
